Swim team concessions and Jersey Mike's order form

Welcome to the Oakleigh Forest Swim Team 2023. My name is Bridget Kelly. I will be coordinating swim team concessions this year, with the help of Kim Goodman.

The concession stand helps raise money for the team. The funds raised through concessions go towards coaches’ pay, team equipment, meet ribbons and medals, league fees and the end-of-season banquet. Our concessions program works on the basis of donations from team families. Each family will be asked to make a donation to two of the four home meets. (The donation list for this Thursday's meet will be sent out by tomorrow night. Thank you for your patience as we work to put that together.)

Here are a few key points since we have many new families this year and just to refresh the memories of those of us who have been around longer:

●No one under the age of 18 is permitted behind the concession counter. This is a safety issue. We sometimes have extension cords running through the back, hot crockpots, etc. Please walk around the front of the tables, not through the back.

●If you are not going to be at a meet and have an assigned donation, please make arrangements to drop off your donation. You can leave it with another swim team family, myself or any swim team board member. If it is a refrigerated item, such as cheese, you can even leave it in the swim team refrigerator with a note that it is for swim team (please label it with your name). This year the team refrigerator is located in the pavilion. Please be sure to shut the refrigerator door completely.

●Please bring your donation at least ½ hour before warm-ups to the stand or contact us by phone or text, letting us know it's on the way (or not). If we are missing something, we will need to make arrangements to cover it, which could mean running to the store before the start of the meet or raiding pantries at home. We also need time to ice down drinks, heat up meat, make veggies trays or fruit cups and organize donuts, bagels, etc., so please take that into consideration.

●The donation list is very specific. Please do not divert from what is listed. There is a reason for the specificity. If you have questions please do not hesitate to reach out.

●We once again will offer a tab for Oakleigh Forest swim families. There will be a book at the concession stand and we will keep track of your totals for the meet. If you would like to put a limit on your tab or cut it off completely just let us know. We understand that the tab creeps up fast when your kids get their first taste of “credit”. Please pay your tab at the end of each meet.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me for more information: 215-870-6201; [email protected] (I will also be at the parent meeting on Tuesday night to help answer any questions).

Thank you in advance for helping make concessions a success this year.
